How we correct missing basis on HyperLiquid

How we use HyperLiquid Monthly Adjustments to find accurate PnL even if there's missing data

Written by Alex McCullough

In an effort to make your futures gains/losses as accurate as possible, we sometimes insert a synthetic transaction titled "Hyperliquid Monthly Perp PnL Adjustment," like this:

These transactions are added to your account if the HyperLiquid API and the transactions imported to Awaken have a different total gain/loss for the month.

If there is a difference, this transaction is added to your account to correct for it.

We make every effort to report fill level pnl for all Hyperliquid perps trades; however, fills before July of 2025 often do not report PnL, or can even be missing entirely.

Adjustment transactions are only inserted for months before July 2025 and only for users who traded Hyperliquid perps before July 2025, whose aggregate fill level PnL in Awaken does not align with Hyperliquid's numbers.

We give users flexibility over these transactions and allow them to edit the realized pnl for more granular control.

If you have any questions about these corrections, please reach out to us via the support chat and ask to speak to a human.
