Staking/Lending transactions accidentally counting income

Why deposit transactions may accidentally accrue income, and how to fix it

Written by Alex McCullough

If you have a lending or staking deposit that is counting income by mistake, it may be because you used the Deposit label when you should have used the Deposit Swap label.

If you receive a placeholder/redemption token that represents your staking or lending position, you should use either the "staking swap" or "lend swap" labels.

If you use the regular deposit labels, any tokens received as part of the transaction are assumed to be reward tokens and, therefore, are counted as income.
