If you have imported multiple CSVs from an exchange (maybe from separate years, or different types of CSVs), you can group those CSVs together in Awaken using our "group accounts" action.
The grouped CSVs will then be treated as one single account, drawing cost basis from the pool of assets in accordance with the IRS's wallet-by-wallet accounting method.
Once the CSVs are uploaded to Awaken, you can do this by:
Clicking "Actions" on the accounts page, and selecting "Group Accounts."
2. Selecting each separate CSV by clicking on it on the accounts page. If you are grouping a new CSV to an already merged group, you'll need to click the drop down menu and select each individual CSV separetly. Selected accounts are highlighted in light blue:
This same workflow can also be applied to wallets connected via APIs, but this should only be done if you imported a CSV up to a specific date, and then imported the same wallet address via API after that date.
Unrelated wallets should not be grouped. Be careful to use this feature correctly.
